Phoenix sightseeing bus tour or a walking tour?

This is the perfect balance of both. The best, most authentic locations around Phoenix can only be reached by vehicle. Depending on the size of the group will determine which vehicle we will take. This tour covers a wide variety of locations. You will visit many locations that are seldom visited by tourists and see historical photos from the 1930s to the present day and learn about the people, places, and events that shaped Phoenix.

Do we get out or just drive by each location?

We will stop and get out at the majority of locations. You will get a chance to hear what happened, explore and take pictures. This is a perfect opportunity for those who want to explore more of what Phoenix has to offer! As we drive by each location, we will tell you the story of what happened there. Many people like to just drive by and listen. However, we encourage active participation - Shout out your questions as we travel in style.

Is there a bathroom on the Spirit of Arizona tour bus?

Our bus does not have restroom facilities onboard. We will have a restroom break. If you're travelling with young children or someone that needs frequent access to the restroom, please let our friendly staff know and we can accommodate extra time or more regular breaks. Your comfort is our priority.

Does the Spirit of Arizona bus have a wheelchair lift?

There is plenty of space at the facility to store walkers, wheelchairs and other necessary equipment. However, we do not have a wheelchair lift on our bus.

What if we have a group bigger than 14 people?

We want to make history FUN and accessible to as many people as possible. We love large groups, please contact us directly so we can accommodate your group and provide the best possible experience on our tours in Phoenix.

All tours are professionally guided tours with an experienced tour guide. Every tour includes stopping at points of interest with the tour guide providing you with information about each location.

Booking

Please try to give us at least a month in advance for large group bookings. Custom tours and tour planning are also available.

A group of us went on the Murders and Mysteries Ghost Tour with Jared and it did not disappoint! He is very knowledgeable about the history of these Phoenix murders and a very good storyteller! He had me so engaged, that I had to go home and do research to learn even more about these stories. I highly recommend this tour and Halloween eve was a great time for us to go.

My family and I were in the Phoenix area for a few weeks and our cousin recommended a haunted pub tour. I am typically very scared of spooky haunted things, but I am so happy that we ended up going! It was the perfect mix of spooky, educational, and fun. Add some alcohol to it and its a party! Jared was our tour guide and her took us to three locations. Jared's personality is infectious! Not only was he knowledgable, but his storytelling skills really impressed me. He was able to immerse us at each place and provided eerie facts and information that added to the over atmosphere. He also had employees that work at each place give first hand testimonies which made things even spookier! A few things to remember! 1) Make sure to take lots of pictures and videos! You never know if you will catch something supernatural. 2) You have to get at least 1 drink at each place. 3) Have fun! I’ve taken two tours with this tour guide and I have to say Jared is the best. He absolutely knows his history. I didn’t experience anything supernatural but both times that we went to the Clarendon Hotel I got a headache…does that count? My favorite part is learning the history of each area we stop at. Definitely worth taking the tour… ghostly experience or not.

Absolutely loved our tour. I am new to the area and enjoyed learning the dark history of Phoenix from a passionate historian. We felt safe at all times while on the tour. Jared is an animated tour guide with a real passion for history and Arizona. He has put a lot of work into creating and maintaining relationships with owners of the tour stops. Tour time flew by quickly and I could've easily kept on going. I am looking forward to participating in the other tours that Spirits of Arizona offers.
